It was a remarkable day on Sunday, 14th of May, 2017 at Elite Event Center, Ikorodu when Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, the Chairmanship Aspirant in Ikorodu Central host the APC delegates and the major stakeholders in a political discourse on Ikorodu project.
The programme kick started with an opening prayer by Mr. David Ayodeji Kasali, followed by the opening speech by Alhaja Peju Lawal. She welcome all political leaders and members of APC in ikorodu and urged them to support Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba's political ambition. She further assured them of her ability and competency.
In a vision and mission statement, Barr. Victoria Adebunkola Samuel assured that the government of Folashade will focus at making Ikorodu a clean, secure, more prosperous with a robust economy built on quality public service, equity and justice. She further added that Security, Education, Medical Care, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Rule of law, Transportation, Tourism, Culture, Sports, Entertainment, Sports, among others will also be given priority.
"Until you and I, indeed all of us take Ikorodu as our personal and collective project, our dream Ikorodu and it's 'prophetic' potential of becoming a 'headquarter' may as well remain a mere thought in our minds" she added.
The eloquent Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba revealed that the market women will not be the target for the increase in IGR but promised to diversify the economy as ways to increase internally generated revenue. "About the traffic gridlock that's always happenning at Ikorodu roundabout; there is a proposed flyover from the roundabout to Sabo which will link the proposed 8-lane road to Epe by the state government." she assured.
Princess Folashade further made justice to the questions asked by the Impact Newspaper, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Info Magazine, Ayayo Gong and some delegates. She denounced to the rumor flying around that she has stepped down as being circulated by some people, "I have not and will not step down for anybody", she declared.
Before the closing prayer from Mr Tunde Dawodu, Hon. Owolabi Anifowoshe, in his articulate manner described Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba as a woman of charisma filled with passion, commitment and energy. He sees her as someone that would bring great innovation to grassroot administration.
Anifowose therefore urged the party Excos to be God fearing and consider the development of Ikorodu Central when making their choice on the day of primaries.
