LAGOS STATE LAWMAKER ERECTS COLLAPSED SCHOOL FENCE IN IGBOGBO

A committed lawmaker, representing Ikorodu Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, on Wednesday, 1st of March, 2017 yielded to the request of HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, to erect the collapsed School fence of A.U.D. Primary School, Igbogbo, Lagos State.

The fence which collapsed at different spots had led to the security challenges of the school for some period, but since the transfered of the new Head Teacher to the School, he had been able to curb this criminal activity.

The Head Teacher, Mr Oladipo Musbau Olalekan, who was transferred to the School, precisely October 13, 2015, had put up additional efforts to put a stop to Cultism among the pupils before his transfer. These cultists among the pupils used the advantage of the collapsed fence to go in and out during the school time without being noticed.

The Head Teacher had therefore introduced "One Day Head Teacher", the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria, this was said to change the thinking of the pupils towards better future. He further explained that with the support of the former Head of Service, Lagos State, Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe and Mr Leke Soberu, he had been able to achieve some basic things for the School, including Borehole water.

In order to secure the territory of the school premises from unforeseen bad incident, this was what led him to explain to HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, on Tuesday, 21st of February, 2017, to inform him of the challenges and solicited for the erection of collapsed fence in order to protect the pupils.

Based on this request, HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali however contacted Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka on the need to put the school in order. The erudite legislator did not waste time on Kabiyesi's request before sending one of his Aides, Mr Kunle Odumade and an Engineer to assess and commence work immediately.

Hon Sholaja who recently extended his generosity to Agunfoye Central Mosque, Igbogbo, on their Maolud Nabiyyi, when speaking with the Publisher, Igbogbo/Bayeku Info Magazine, Mr Shakiru Seidu on phone, described the respect he has for the Royal fathers as extra ordinary and his passion for education among his constituents can not be compromised.

The Head Teacher therefore thanked HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali and Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka for their roles in making life safe for pupils and staff of A.U.D. Primary School, Igbogbo, Lagos State.
